What the heck was I doing at a kissing party??? Middle-age and post-menopausal, the last few years I’ve been working to come to peace with the fact that my libido is stone cold now (as I’ve shared on here before!)… But there just may be some life in the old girl yet! This was an experience that I’ll be holding onto for a good long time ❤️ (And extra thanks to the cute lady who took a chance on me!)

Kissing Booth by Erika Moen, published 9/22/2026 on ohjoysextoy.com/kissing-booth-erika-moen
Erika draws in a bouncy, cartoony style with smooth line work and bold orange and reddy-orange color blocks.
"...So just look around for other people wearing the 'up for kissing a stranger' stickers too, like the girl in the collared shirt and the guy in the blue jacket..." The curvy host says to a table of patrons on a bar's outdoor patio.
"Cute!" Erika thinks to herself, spying a short-haired girl sitting at another table. She has a big round sticker with an X stuck onto her button-down shirt that matches the one on Erika's black tank top.
Becoming progressively more nervous, Erika says aloud, "I haven't kissed a girl in a really long time. She's sitting with SO MANY people. Can I ask a STRANGER to MAKE OUT WITH ME???"
"G'wan!" Her husband says with a friendly shove, encouraging her to cross the patio distance to the other table. "You can do it!"
"What do I say." Erika panics to herself as she walks over. Her heart beats louder and louder with every step. "What do I say. What do I say. What do I-" She interrupts her own thoughts to very loudly ask, "UH?" when she reaches the edge of the other table. All the occupants and the cute girl look at her expectantly.

Narration: This was my first time at a kissing party.
A crowd of people line up at the host's podium, where she gives out paperwork and gestures at the occupied photo booth behind her. "Next!" She says the first couple in line, while lights flash and kissing noises leak out of the booth.
Narration: Inside the bar hosting the event, there was a photo booth where you got your picture taken while locking lips. Afterwards, you filled out a questionnaire about the kiss and were prompted to explore it further. You can kiss your friends, crushes, partners, OR, if you're feeling brave, you can wear a sticker to signal you're up for smooching strangers.
Standing awkwardly at the edge of the crowded table, Erika against says, "Uh. Hi?" and gives a little wave. Now talking directly to the cute girl, she asks, "Would you wanna, uh, play the kissing game? Uh. With me?"
"Oh!" The girl replies, surprised and flattered. "Uh, yeah! OK!"
"What is happening???" Erika thinks to herself while the two walk to the booth's line.
"What's your name?" Asks the girl.
"Erika, what's yours?" Replies Erika aloud, while her thoughts shout out "WHAT IS HAPPENING."

Erika and the girl chat easily with each other while they wait in line.
Narration: There was a giddy, nervous, excited vibe in the air. It was easy to talk with her while we waited in line, it even felt normal, until I'd remember...
"Oh right!" Erika thinks to herself, looking shocked. "I'm about to KISS THIS PERSON?!"
"Next!" Calls the host.
Inside the booth, the girls squish together in the tiny space, looking both excited and nervous.
"Haha, ok, well..." Erika offers with apprehensive excitement before the two lean in to kiss.
Narration: The moment before a first kiss is like standing on the edge of a diving board.
Erika's silhouette stands at the edge of a board that just out over a large, black body of water.
Narration: Will you dive in smoothly?
Erika's silhouette leaps into the air, mostly parallel but with a slight incline towards the water's surface.
Narration: Will you bellyflop?
Page 4
Narration: We plunged together bravely, and at the same time our kiss felt tentative, testing, searching.
Erika's silhouette penetrates into the water with a splash and swims across it in zigzags, exploring as long as she can hold her breath.
Narration: Our teeth tapped once as we experimented with how much to lean into each other. She ran her fingers up the nape of my neck and it sent a tingle down my spine. My post-menopausal body is a stranger to me. What I used to enjoy now causes me pain and injury. I don't even know what I want anymore. Kissing though...
Having reached an underwater wall, Erika reaches her hands up to grab the land-side edge of its top. Her cheeks are puffed from holding her breath. With a "gasp!" she pulls her weight upwards, breaching through the water's surface and pulling herself onshore.
In the real world, Erika and the girl still have their arms around each other but have just broken their kiss. They both look pleasantly surprised.
Narration: Kissing still feels good.

In silhouette, the profiles of Erika and the girl face each other.
Narration: Here is the beauty of kissing in a photo booth: It's a self-contained moment of intimacy.
Narration: In real life situations, the kiss tends to be the first step in escalation to more interlocked physical acts.
A staircase ascends with steps individually labeled, "Kissin', Fondlin', Grindin', Suckin', Fuckin'"
Narration: But in the photo booth, the kiss is the whole story and it's over when the camera stops flashing.
An occupied photo booth floats in space, surrounded by light flashes.
Narration: We filled out our questionnaires and left without exchanging contact information.
"It was really nice to meet you!" Erika says, saving to the girl with one hand and holding her photo strip in the other.
"You too!" Agrees the girl, waving and walking in the opposite direction with her own photo strip in her free hand.
Narration: I was swimming for days afterwards.
Erika's silhouette backwards summersaults through the depths of deep water.
Page 6
Narration: In real life, maybe we wouldn't be compatible.
"You're allergic to cats?!" Exclaims Erika, facing off against the girl.
"You don't drive?!" She retorts in disgust.
Narration: But real life is suspended in the booth.
Through a starry sky, the photo booth sails. A giggle escapes from it as a photo strip prints out.
Narration: I thought menopause had killed my libido, but pleasure is still buried deep inside me.
From the sky and into the ocean below, Erika's silhouette dives down and then makes an elegant arch swimming back to the surface.
Narration: I have the proof!
Erika's hand holds the photo strip, showing the girl and her kissing in four individual shots.
